SOFT TOP REAR GLASS-NEW PART SERVICE INFO & NEW PART NUMBER

SUBJECT: ALLANTE SOFT TOP REAR GLASS SERVICE PART

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987 'V', 1988-90 'V' (PHASE I) AND 1990-91 'V' (PHASE II)

After February 1, 1991, only one part number will be serviced for all model years of Allante soft top rear glass. P/N 3635375 will be supplied with the following instructions for installation:

For 1987 Model Year:

1. Remove rear pull-down hook on new glass frame and install existing hook from part being removed from car.

2. Remove upper hinge rubber bumpers and adjustment screws and discard.

For 1988 Through Early 1990 (Phase I):

1. Remove upper hinge rubber bumpers and adjustment screws and discard.

For Late 1990 through 1991 (Phase II):

1. Install back glass as received.

NOTE: Phase I tops have manual latches on the front bow. Phase II tops have electric pull downs to latch the front bow.
