SUBJECT: WINDSHIELD WEATHER-STRIP TEARS OR SEPARATES AT UPPER CORNERS (INSTALL NEW WEATHER-STRIP)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987-1991 CADILLAC ALLANTE

On some 1987-1991 Allantes, the weather-strip around the perimeter of the windshield may separate or tear at the mold line near the upper corners.

To repair this condition install new design weather-strip, P/N 3535749.

This new weather-strip is 6mm longer cross car and eliminates excessive tension at the corners when installed.

For vehicles repaired under warranty use:

Labor Operation C1008 at 0.6 hour.
