INTERFERENCE AT SUN VISOR AND SOFT TOP WITH POWER LATCH

SUBJECT: SUN VISOR CONTACTS SOFT TOP HEADER MOTOR COVER WHEN ROTATING WITH VJ4 (REPLACE SOFT TOP HEADER MOTOR COVERS)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990 "V"

Some 1990 Allantes equipped with power header latches may experience interference between the sun visor and the soft top header motor cover when the visor is rotated. This condition may be caused by a mispositioned centre support bracket and a design interference between the visor and the cover.

To repair this condition replace both soft top header motor covers with the new redesigned covers, P/N 3526429 (LH) and P/N 3526430 (RH). Refer to Section 10-9-42 of the 1990 Allante Service Information Manual for the removal and installation procedure.
