Some 1990 Allantes produced before January 16, 1990 with a VIN breakpoint 1G6VS338LU126127 may experience an intermittent condition where the cruise control will not engage or will lose speed when the set/coast button is depressed. This condition may be caused by an improper PROM calibration in the MEM-CAL unit of the ECM.
To identify the improperly calibrated PROM enter diagnostics and select ECM data, parameter ED99 "PROM I.D.". Check the parameter display against the PROM I.D. chart listed below. If the PROM I.D. matches, install the new service MEM-CAL listed to correct the engagement condition.
