STARTING MAY 19, 1993 (JULIAN DATE 139) ALL HYDRA-MATIC 4T80-E UNITS (FIGURE 1) WERE BUILT WITH A NEW STYLE OIL PUMP-DRIVEN SHAFT (207) AND TURBINE SHAFT (410).
(FIGURE 2) WHEN SERVICING THE OIL PUMP DRIVEN SHAFT (207) OR THE TURBINE SHAFT (410) IN A 1993 HYDRA-MATIC 4T80E UNIT BUILT BEFORE THIS DATE, YOU MUST REPLACE THESE PARTS WITH SERVICE KIT (24202213).
THE PREVIOUS STYLE SHAFTS ARE NOT INTERCHANGEABLE WITH THE CURRENT SHAFTS.
THIS NEW SERVICE KIT CONTAINS A NEW TURBINE SHAFT, SNAP RING, OIL PUMP DRIVEN SHAFT AND A TURBINE SHAFT O-RING SEAL. THE STACK UP BETWEEN THE TURBINE SHAFT AND PUMP SHAFT IS CRITICAL.
