Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2003 🢒 CTS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.6L and 3.2L 🢒 Camshaft Cover Installation - Left Side

    Object Number: 345851 Size: SH
  1. Lightly coat the new seals, including the O-rings, with engine oil prior to installation to assist in holding the O-ring seals to the camshaft cover.
  2. Install the camshaft cover seals.

    3. Object Number: 345856 Size: SH
  3. Apply a thin coat of silicone sealer G/M P/N 12346286 (Canadian P/N 10953472) to the front and back of the seals.

    4. Object Number: 803449 Size: SH
  4. Apply a 3 mm (0.12 in) bead of silicone sealer GM P/N 12346286 (Canadian P/N 10953472) at the front and rear of the camshaft cover between the seals.

    5. Object Number: 769007 Size: SH
  5. Install the camshaft cover to the cylinder head.
  6. Install the NEW camshaft cover bolt grommets prior to installing the camshaft cover bolts.

    7. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  7. Install the camshaft cover bolts.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the camshaft cover bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  8. Install the spark plugs.

    9. Tighten
    Tighten the spark plugs to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  9. Install the coil cassette.
  10. Install the coil cassette bolts.

    11. Tighten
    Tighten the coil cassette bolts to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  11. Install the oil filler cap.
