A change was made in September, 2002 to the P225/50R17 Goodyear Eagle RSA tire used on this vehicle. The speed rating of this tire was changed from "V" to "W". The TPC number was also changed from 1177MS to 1227MS. This change is summarized in the table below:

For service and warranty replacements, only the "W" speed-rated tires, TPC1227MS will be available. Both tires have a very similar construction with a common tread and sidewall design. Performance is acceptable if the tires are intermixed.
Important: The Eagle RSA P225/50R17 V-rated tire, TPC nmber 1177MS, has been cancelled and is no longer available as a replacement tire. Eagle RSA P225/50R17 W-rated tire, TPC number 1227MS supersedes this cancelled tire and is the designated service replacement.
