Radio Loses Presets on Key Up, or Presets Change by Themselves - electrical intermittent performance program receiver reception station U2R U2S

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Radio will not retain some presets on key up, or station presets will change to another station while driving down the road.

This condition is caused by incorrect RDS programming at the radio broadcaster. Some radio stations may have their RDS signal programmed incorrectly which will cause the VDO radio to leave that station and look for another one with the proper signal. This is not a radio issue and must be addressed at the radio broadcaster level.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
