Condition
Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip-Front
Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip-Rear
Some customers may comment on the water spots/discolored appearance of the front/rear door window belt outer sealing strip.
Cause
This condition may be due to the sealing strip outer coating absorbing water and causing the finish to change in appearance.
Correction
Important: Due to the gloss level difference, all four side door window belt outer sealing strips should be replaced in order to maintain a consistent appearance.
Improved sealing strips have been put into production and are now available from GMSPO. Replace the side door window belt outer sealing strips. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement-Door Window Belt Outer-Front and Rear in the Doors sub-section of the Service Manual or SI documents #763727 and #763731 for the replacement procedures.
