When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.
Condition/Concern:
Request for an optional "smoker's package" or cigarette lighters and ashtrays.
Recommendation/Instructions:
The 2003 Cadillac CTS does not come equipped with a cigarette lighter or ashtray. GMSPO does list a dealer installed package for the CTS. The package includes:
| • | 1 IP ashtray which replaces the felt lined change cup in the center stack. |
| • | 1 rear center console ashtray door |
| • | 2 cigarette lighters |
| • | 2 lighter housings |
Both accessory outlets must be removed and replaced with the supplied lighter housings. The GMSPO part number for the package is 12498219.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
