Removal Procedure
- Remove the I/P cluster trim cover. Refer to
Instrument Cluster Trim Panel Replacement .
- Remove the screws (2) securing the cluster to the I/P.
- Install a small flat bladed tool (1) between the I/P cluster and the I/P.
- Pry up on the I/P in order to release the retainers on the cluster.
- Pull out on the cluster and disconnect the electrical connectors.
Installation Procedure
- Position the cluster on the I/P.
- Connect the electrical connectors (1) on the back of the cluster.
- Push the cluster into the I/P in order to lock in the cluster retainers.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the fasteners (2) in order to secure the cluster to the I/P.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Refer to
Control Module References for programming and setup information.
