FUEL LEVEL LOW | The radio illuminates the FUEL LEVEL LOW message in the radio when the instrument panel cluster (IPC) determines that the fuel level is less than 9.48 liters (2.5 gallons). The IPC receives a class 2 message indicating the fuel level from the engine control module (ECM). |
HEADLAMPS SUGGESTED | Refer to Exterior Lighting Systems Description and Operation |
ICE POSSIBLE | The radio illuminates the ICE POSSIBLE message when the outside air temperature drops below 2°C (36°F). When the temperature rises above 5.5°C (42°F), the ICE POSSIBLE message turns OFF. The radio receives a class 2 message indicating the outside air temperature from the dash integration module (DIM). |
Lateral Acceleration (JL4) | Lateral acceleration is a measure of how hard a vehicle is taking a corner. The electronic brake control module (EBCM) calculates the lateral acceleration during vehicle turns as part of the vehicle stability enhancement system (VSES). The EBCM sends a class 2 message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicating the vehicle lateral acceleration. Lateral acceleration which is acceleration due to gravity is measured in a g. The lateral acceleration display in the message center measures from 0.00 g up to 1.2 g. Refer to ABS Description and Operation for more information the VSES system. |
