Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the I/P retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

    2. Object Number: 791396 Size: SH
  2. Remove the screws (1) securing the global position antenna to the I/P carrier.
  3. Remove the wiring from the carrier.

    4. Important: Do not splice the wiring or make the antenna lead shorter.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 791396 Size: SH
  1. Route the antenna wire to the carrier.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the antenna to the carrier.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws (1) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Install the I/P retainer. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
