Power Steering Fluid Cooler Replacement w/RPO FE3

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 802847  Size: SH
  1. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  2. Remove the hoses from the power steering cooler.
  3. Remove the power steering cooler screws.
  4. Remove the power steering cooler.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 802847  Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering cooler.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the power steering cooler screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 5.4 N·m (48 lb in).

  5. Install the hoses to the power steering cooler.
  6. Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement in Engine Cooling.
  7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1391088  Size: SH
  1. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  3. Remove the power steering hoses from the power steering cooler.

  4. Object Number: 1391086  Size: SH
  5. Remove the power steering cooler nuts.
  6. Remove the power steering cooler.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1391086  Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering cooler.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the power steering cooler nuts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the power steering hoses to the power steering cooler.
  6. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement in Body Front End.
  7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
