The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Some customers may comment that the brake pedal moves or drops slightly while holding steady pressure on the brake pedal. This condition only occurs when the Air Conditioning Compressor Clutch engages or disengages and is caused by a change in engine vacuum when this occurs.

Recommendation/Instructions:

No repairs attempts should be made. This is a normal condition and does not affect braking performance.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
