Trunk Release and Garage Door Opener Inoperative Fuse Open - keywords body intermittent pinched rear RKE short sunvisor wire

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

The electric trunk release and the garage door opener are inoperative. The "TRUNK DR RELEASE" fuse in the left rear fuse block is open. This fuse may only go open when the left sunvisor is moved. The "TRUNK DR RELEASE" fuse is used for the trunk release and the garage door opener.

Inspect circuit 3640 for a short to ground at the left sunvisor. See the wiring schematic for the garage door opener for this circuit.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
