Removal Procedure

    Caution: Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments. To help avoid personal injury:

       • Turn off the lamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing the bulb.
       • Leave the lamp switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
       • Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
       • Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
       • Keep dirt and moisture off the bulb.
       • Properly dispose of the used bulb.
       • Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children.

  1. Remove the rear compartment applique. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Applique Replacement.

  2. Object Number: 814400  Size: SH
  3. Remove the fog lamp bulb socket from the applique assembly by pressing the tab (1) and twisting the socket counterclockwise and pulling it out.
  4. Remove the fog lamp bulb from the socket.

  1. Install the fog lamp bulb into the socket.

  2. Object Number: 814400  Size: SH
  3. Install the fog lamp bulb socket into the applique assembly (1) by inserting and twisting the socket clockwise.
  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Install the rear compartment applique. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Applique Replacement.
