Removal Procedure

  1. Remove rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 702107  Size: SH
  3. Remove the four fasteners securing the carrier assembly to the rear shelf.
  4. Disengage the retainer securing the right side rear shelf carrier.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the rear shelf carrier assembly (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install rear shelf carrier assembly (1).
  2. Ensure the retainer on the right side is fully seated into the rear shelf.
  3. Connect the electrical connectors.

  4. Object Number: 702107  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the rear shelf carrier fasteners.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the rear shelf carrier fasteners to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement .
