Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Pedestrian Impact Detection System Disabling and Enabling .
2. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .

Procedure

1. Adjust the hood hinge if needed. Refer to Hood Adjustment .
2. If deployed, replace the following parts:

•	Left and right actuator. Refer to Active Hood Hinge Actuator Active Hood Hinge Actuator Replacement

•	Left and right hinge - hood side

•	Left and right hinge - body side

•

Hood

•	Inspection hood latch and subsequent replacement if functionality or appearance is compromised

Preliminary Procedure

Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement.
