The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

A customer may comment they experience concerns with one or more of the following systems or electrical features.

    • Door locks
    • Driver power seat
    • Fog Lamps
    • Memory seat/ power rake and tilt column
    • OnStar ®
    • Power windows
    • Radio/ sound system
    • Security system (UA2)
    • Service Battery Charging System displayed
    • Sunroof
    • Trunk release
    • TV Tuner (U2X/U2Y)

One or more of the following DTC may be stored.

B3130 All Door Unlock Circuit

B3135 All Door Lock Circuit

U0184 Lost Communication With Radio

U0186 Lost Communication With Audio Amplifier

U0198 Lost Communication With Communication Interface Module (OnStar®)

 

The cause may be a poor or intermittent connection of the rear fuse block X1 connector and deformation of the rear fuse block (1) that results from the body harness being routed incorrectly under the white connector cover (2).

Recommendation/Instructions:

Replace the rear fuse block. Ensure the wire harness comes out of the end of the X1 connector (3) and then makes a 90 degree bend towards the quarter panel to prevent stressing of the fuse block when the connector is installed and tightened down.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
