Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 CTS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls and Fuel - 2.8L, 3.0L, 3.2L, or 3.6L 🢒 Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition OFF.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.

    3. Object Number: 945964 Size: SH
  3. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield to obtain access.

    4. Object Number: 887868 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) electrical connector (3).

    5. Object Number: 1311144 Size: SH
  5. Remove the crankshaft sensor bolt.
  6. Remove the crankshaft sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1311144 Size: SH
  1. Install the crankshaft position sensor.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the crankshaft position sensor bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    3. Object Number: 887868 Size: SH
  3. Connect the CKP electrical connector (3).

    4. Object Number: 945964 Size: SH
  4. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  5. Lower the vehicle.
