Engine Coolant Fan Shroud Replacement LLT, LP1, LY7

Preliminary Procedures

    Warning: An electric fan under the hood can start up even when the engine is not running and can injure you. Keep hands, clothing and tools away from any underhood electric fan.

  1. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement
  2. Remove the front compartment sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement
  3. Disconnect the cooling fan electrical connectors
  4. Remove the auxiliary water pump and any hoses.
  5. Remove any hoses or pipes.
  6. Disconnect the condenser tube from the cooling fan shroud retainer clip.
  7. Disengage the surge tank inlet hose from the retaining features on the cooling fan shroud and reposition aside.

Tighten
5.4 N·m (48 lb in)
