Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the Air Cleaner Resonator outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  3. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.

Coolant Heater Cord

Procedure

    Note: Work through the left wheel well opening.

  1. Disconnect the coolant heater cord from the coolant heater.
  2. Disconnect the three coolant heater cord retainers from the air conditioning compressor suction hose.

  1. Remove the Air Cleaner Resonator outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Resonator Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  4. Remove the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Coolant Heater Cord

Procedure

    Note: Work through the left wheel well opening.

  1. Disconnect the coolant heater cord from the coolant heater.
  2. Disconnect the three coolant heater cord retainers from the air conditioning compressor suction hose.

Tighten
50 N·m (37 lb ft)
