Preliminary Procedure

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the coolant pipe. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement.
4. Disconnect the auxiliary water pump hose from the coolant pipe. Refer to Auxiliary Water Pump Inlet Hose Replacement
5. Remove the passenger compartment air filter housing. Refer to Passenger Compartment Air Filter Housing Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)
