Intake Manifold Installation LLT


    Object Number: 1977858 Size: SH
  1. Install the NEW intake manifold gasket.

    2. Object Number: 1977856 Size: SH
  2. Install the intake manifold assembly.
  3. Install the intake manifold bolts.

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1992546 Size: SH
  4. Tighten the intake manifold bolts in the sequence shown.
    5. 4.1. Tighten the intake manifold bolts in sequence to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).
    4.2. Tighten the intake manifold bolts a second pass in sequence to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  5. Place the intake manifold brace to the engine front cover and intake manifold.
  6. Loosely install the bolts.
  7. First tighten the intake manifold brace bolt (1) to the intake manifold and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  8. Finally tighten the intake manifold brace bolt (2) to the engine front cover and tighten to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

    9. Object Number: 1977854 Size: SH
  9. Install the evaporative (EVAP) solenoid.
  10. Install the EVAP solenoid bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in)

    11. Object Number: 1977851 Size: SH
  11. Connect the EVAP hose to the upper intake manifold and EVAP solenoid.

    12. Object Number: 1977846 Size: SH
  12. Connect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube assembly to the upper intake manifold and the right camshaft cover.
  13. Install the PCV tube assembly bracket bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    14. Object Number: 1977836 Size: SH
  14. Install the brake booster hose to the upper intake manifold.

Intake Manifold Installation LY7/LP1


    Object Number: 1888133 Size: SH
  1. Install the NEW intake manifold gasket.

    2. Object Number: 1888129 Size: SH
  2. Install the intake manifold assembly.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

    Note: Tighten the intake manifold bolts in a circular pattern starting from the center and moving outward.

  3. Install the intake manifold bolts and tighten to 23 N·m (17 lb ft).

  4. Place the intake manifold brace to the engine front cover and intake manifold.
  5. Loosely install the bolts.
  6. First tighten the intake manifold brace bolt (1) to the intake manifold and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  7. Finally tighten the intake manifold brace bolt (2) to the engine front cover and tighten to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

    8. Object Number: 1888125 Size: SH
  8. Install the EVAP solenoid.
  9. Install the EVAP solenoid bolt and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in)..

    10. Object Number: 1888122 Size: SH
  10. Connect the EVAP hose to the upper intake manifold and EVAP solenoid.

    11. Object Number: 1888119 Size: SH
  11. Connect the PCV tube assembly to the upper intake manifold and the right camshaft cover.
  12. Install the PCV tube assembly bracket bolts and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

    13. Object Number: 946063 Size: SH
  13. Install the brake booster hose to the upper intake manifold.
