Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 CTS 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, or 7.0L 🢒 Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation - Right Side

    Object Number: 1272820 Size: SH

    Note: 

       • All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly.
       • DO NOT use the valve rocker arm cover gasket again.

  1. Install NEW valve rocker arm cover grommets and use NEW valve rocker arm cover bolts if they are serviced with the grommet.
  2. Install a NEW gasket (504) into the valve rocker arm cover.

    3. Object Number: 2156776 Size: SH
  3. Install a NEW oil cap (1), oil fill tube (2) and seals (3, 4) to the valve rocker arm cover, as required.

    4. Object Number: 2156771 Size: SH
  4. Install the valve rocker arm cover (2) onto the cylinder head.

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the cover bolts (1) with NEW grommets and tighten to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

    6. Object Number: 2156766 Size: SH
  6. Apply threadlock GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489), or equivalent, to the threads of the ignition coil bolts (1).
  7. Install the ignition coils (2) and bolts (1) and tighten to 12 N·m (106 lb in).
  8. Install the spark plug wires (3).
