Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Brake Dust Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1969826 Size: SH
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
  3. Remove the wheel speed sensor wire harness clips (1) from the upper control arm and vehicle frame.
  4. Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (2).

  5. Thoroughly clean the wheel speed sensor mounting area of the suspension knuckle of any dirt and debris.
  6. Remove the wheel speed sensor bolt (1) and the wheel speed sensor.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1969829 Size: SH
  1. Install the wheel speed sensor and bolt (1) to the suspension knuckle and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

    2. Object Number: 1969826 Size: SH
  2. Install the wheel speed sensor wire harness clips (1) to the upper control arm and vehicle frame.
  3. Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector (2).
  4. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
