Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement Without UHA

Callout	Component Name
Preliminary Procedure Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement.
1	Rear Side Outside Door Handle Bolt Access Plug Tip Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to remove the access hole plug, located in the upper inner door area.
2	Rear Side Door Outside Handle Cap Bolt Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section. Tighten 9 N·m (80 lb in)

4	Rear Side Door Outside Handle Rod Procedure Release the clip at the base of the door lock. Release the handle rods from the lock. Disconnect electrical connector.
5	Rear Side Door Outside Handle Counterbalance Procedure From inside the door, pull downward on the door handle housing counterbalance and at the same time slide the outside door handle forward. This will release the outside door handle from the door handle housing.
6	Rear Side Door Outside Handle Procedure Ensure that the handle gaskets stays in place when installing the door handle.

Rear Side Outside Door Handle Bolt Access Plug

Tip
Use a plastic flat-bladed tool to remove the access hole plug, located in the upper inner door area.

Rear Side Door Outside Handle Cap Bolt

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Rear Side Door Outside Handle Cap

Rear Side Door Outside Handle Passive Entry Electrical Connector

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.

Tip

•	Option (+UHA) passive entry is used for both front and rear doors.

•	When using the passive entry pull once to open the front door, twice for the rear door.

Rear Side Door Outside Handle Rod

Procedure

Release the clip at the base of the door lock.
Release the handle rods from the lock.
Disconnect electrical connector.

Rear Side Door Outside Handle Counterbalance

Procedure

From inside the door, pull downward on the door handle housing counterbalance and at the same time slide the outside door handle forward. This will release the outside door handle from the door handle housing.

Procedure

Ensure that the handle gaskets stays in place when installing the door handle.
