Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the pedestrian impact detection system. Refer to Pedestrian Impact Detection System Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement.

Pedestrian Impact Detection Sensor

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Loosen the sensor integral bolt.

Tip
The bolt is an integral part of the sensor and should remain with the sensor.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)
