Disable the SIR system. Refer to Pedestrian Impact Detection System Disabling and Enabling.

Active Hood Hinge Actuator Bolt

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
22 N·m (16 lb ft)

Active Hood Hinge Actuator

Procedure

1. Disconnect any electrical connectors.
2. If deployed, replace the following parts:

•	Left and right actuator

•	Left and right hinge - hood side

•	Left and right hinge - body side

•

Hood

•	Inspection hood latch and subsequent replacement if functionality or appearance is compromised
