Preliminary Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid inner panel trim. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Inner Panel Trim Replacement.

High Mount Stop Lamp Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
6 N·m (53 lb in)

High Mount Stop Lamp Retainer (Qty: 2)

Tip
Squeeze the retainer tabs inward and push the lamp assembly tabs outward in order to remove the lamp assembly from the rear compartment lid.
