🢒 Power Brake Booster Auxiliary Pump Replacement
Removal Procedure
Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
.
Release the power brake booster pump hose quick connect (1).
Disconnect the power brake booster pump hose from the auxiliary pump.
Disconnect the power brake booster pump electrical connector.
Remove the power brake booster pump bracket nut (1).
Remove the power brake booster pump bracket bolt (1).
Remove the power brake booster pump from the engine.
Remove the power brake booster pump bolts (1) and nuts (2).
Remove the power brake booster pump insulator sleeves (1).
Remove the power brake booster pump insulators (2).
Release the power brake booster pump electrical harness connector (3) from the bracket and remove the pump.
Installation Procedure
Assemble the power brake booster pump sleeves (1) to the insulators (2).
Install the power brake booster pump insulators.
Position the power brake booster pump to the bracket and secure the electrical harness connector (3).
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the power brake booster pump bolts (1) and nuts (2) and tighten the bolts to
22 N·m (16 lb ft)
.
Install the power brake booster pump to the engine.
Install the power brake booster pump bracket bolt (1) and tighten to
70 N·m (52 lb ft)
.
Install the power brake booster pump bracket nut (1) and tighten to
70 N·m (52 lb ft)
.
Connect the power brake booster pump electrical connector.
Connect the power brake booster pump hose to the auxiliary pump.
Install the power brake booster pump hose quick connect (1).
Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement
