Preliminary Procedure

1. Open and support the hood.
2. Remove the front compartment sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Sight Shields Replacement .
3. To help aid in the removal and installation of the windshield washer hose, the right front headlamp assembly will need to be removed. Refer to Headlamp Capsule Replacement .

Windshield Washer Solvent Container Hose

Procedure

1. Place a suitable clean container under the windshield washer solvent container to contain solvent spillage.
2. Remove the washer hose elbow from the windshield washer pump.
3. Disconnect the retainer clips securing the hose to the front upper wheelhouse panel reinforcement.
4. Disconnect the washer hose at the windshield washer solvent heater, if equipped.
5. If not equipped, disconnect the washer pump hose from the windshield washer nozzle hose.

Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the front wheelhouse extension in order to access the windshield washer pump connection. Refer to Wheelhouse Extension Replacement .
2. Place a suitable clean pan under the container to contain any loss windshield washer solvent.
3. Open and support the hood.
4. Remove the front compartment side sight shield, passenger side in order to access the washer hose connections.

Windshield Washer Pump Hose Connection

Tip
Tie a string to the washer hose elbow in order to re-route the new washer hose under the front headlamp assembly.

Windshield Washer Solvent Container Hose Retainer

Tip
Disengage the retainer from the wheelhouse panel.

Windshield Washer Solvent Container Hose Connection

Tip
Disconnect the washer container hose from the windshield washer solvent heater hose (if equipped).

Windshield Washer Solvent Container Hose

Tip
Pull the hose rearward in order to access the string from under the headlamp. Use the string to route the new washer solvent container hose.
