Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2009 🢒 CTS 🢒 Steering 🢒 Steering Wheel and Column 🢒 Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Remove the steering column shroud. Refer to Steering Column Shroud Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 874786 Size: SH
  3. Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the RUN position.

    4. Object Number: 1866542 Size: SH
  4. Depress the retainer through the lock housing access hole (1) with a small Allen wrench or similar pick-type tool.
  5. Remove the ignition lock cylinder from the lock housing.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 874786 Size: SH

    Note: If you are installing a new lock cylinder, refer to Key and Lock Cylinder Coding.

  1. Position the ignition lock cylinder in the run position and insert it into the lock housing.
  2. Rotate the ignition lock cylinder in the housing. Verify proper rotation.
  3. Install the steering column shroud. Refer to Steering Column Shroud Replacement.
  4. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
