Steering Column Shroud Replacement Without Key Release Lever Knob

Steering Column Shroud Bolt (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tip
When removing or replacing one side of the steering column shroud, remove all four steering column shroud bolts to allow for the slack needed to separate the pieces.

Tighten
3 N·m (27 lb in)

Steering Column Upper Shroud

Tip
Detach the steering column housing cover from the steering column upper shroud before attempting removal.

Steering Column Shroud (Qty: 2)

Tip
Replace each piece of the steering column shroud as needed.

Steering Column Upper Shroud

Tip
Detach the steering column housing cover from the steering column upper shroud before attempting removal.

Key Release Lever Knob

Procedure

To release the key release lever knob push a pick type tool into the access hole on the ignition and start switch housing while pulling on the knob.

Steering Column Shroud Bolt (Qty: 4)

Tip

Tighten
