Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
Recover the refrigerant. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
Remove the front bumper facia deflector. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement
.
Remove the receiver dryer bottom plug (1).
Remove the filter (2).
Remove the desiccant bag (3).
Installation Procedure
Install the desiccant bag (3).
Install the filter (2).
Lubricate the O-rings on the plug with refrigerant oil before installing. Refer to
O-Ring Replacement
.
Caution:
Refer to
Fastener Caution
in the Preface section.
Install the bottom plug (1) and tighten to.
12.5 N·m (111 lb in)
.
Install the front bumper facia deflector. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Air Deflector Replacement
.
Lower the vehicle.
Add the proper amount of oil. Refer to
Refrigerant System Capacities
.
Evacuate and recharge the refrigerant. Refer to
Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
.
Leak test the fittings of the component with
J 39400-A
.
