Warning:  When a hood hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

Preliminary Procedure

Disconnect the hood strut rod. Refer to Hood Open Assist Rod Replacement.

Hood Hinge Nut (Qty: 4)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the windshield washer hose.
2. Transfer components as necessary.

Tighten
25 N·m (18 lb ft)
