DTC Descriptor

DTC B2890 4B: Tilt and Telescope Motor Circuit Calibration Not Learned

Circuit Description

The memory seat module (MSM) learns tilt/telescope soft stops approximately 1.3 cm (0.5 in) from the mechanical ends of travel. The system uses soft stops to prevent wear on the system by ensuring that the steering column movement stops before it reaches its mechanical end of travel in any direction. Action Taken When the DTC Sets

    • The tilt and telescope motors will be deactivated.
    • Memory recall functions will be disabled.

Conditions for Clearing the DTC

    • A current DTC will clear when the soft stops have been learned.
    • A history DTC will clear after 100 ignition cycles.
