2	Battery Negative Cable Procedure Turn the battery negative cable handle to release the clamping force on the battery negative post. To disconnect, pull the battery negative cable off of the battery negative post. When connecting, ensure the battery negative cable is seated properly before turning the battery negative cable handle.
