Models:2008- 2009 Cadillac CTS



The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

As part of our ongoing quality improvement efforts, effective Wednesday August 20th 2008, the following part numbers will be placed on restriction through the PQC to assist GM Engineering with product feedback.

Part Numbers: 25949773, 25949774, 25949775, 25949776, 25949775, 15237522, 15237523, 15237524, 15237525, 25955406, 25955405, 25920404, 25920403

Recommendation/Instructions:

If diagnostics have led to the replacement of the window regulator, please complete the following questionnaire before contacting the PQC at 1-866-654-7654.

  1. Customer Concern:
  2. Does the concern involve a door that will not unlock or open from the outside door handle but the door will open with the key? If yes, has technician reviewed TSB 08-08-64-008?

    Does the concern involve a door glass that will not roll up or down? If yes, has technician reviewed TSB 08-08-64-008?

    Does the concern involve an outside mirror that is inoperative? If yes, has technician reviewed TSB 08-08-64-008?

    Does the concern involve a door handle that sticks in the open position? If yes, has technician reviewed TSB 08-08-64-008?

    Does the concern involve a driver side window that reverses direction when closing? If yes, has technician reviewed PIC4647?

  3. Describe the damage or fault of the window:
  4. Has the regulator been damaged?
  5. What SI documents have been used? List Doc ID number(s):
  6. Document each step of the trouble chart (include all DVOM readings/comments):

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
