1. Ignition cannot be turned ON or OFF |
The remote control door lock receiver (RCDLR) applies voltage to the key capture solenoid under specific conditions to allow the ignition to be turned ON or OFF.
This DTC runs in all ignition modes
The RCDLR detects a voltage level on the control circuit greater than 8 volts when the key capture solenoid is commanded OFF.
The RCDLR detects a voltage level on the control circuit less than 2 volts when the key capture solenoid is commanded ON.
• | The key capture solenoid output is disabled. |
• | SERVICE KEYLESS START SYSTEM is displayed on the DIC. |
• | A current DTC will clear when the condition for setting the DTC is no longer present. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 40 malfunction-free ignition cycles. |

⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance. |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always ON, test the control circuit for short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the RCDLR. |
⇒ | If the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the RCDLR. |
