Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2003 🢒 CTS - RHD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Mechanical - 2.6L and 3.2L 🢒 Oil Level Indicator Tube Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 159185 Size: SH
  1. Remove the bolt (2) securing the following to the cylinder head:
    2. • The oil level indicator tube (4)
    • The coolant outlet pipe (3)
    • The engine front lift bracket (1)
  2. Grasp the oil level indicator tube (4) firmly.
  3. Pull the oil level indicator tube (4) upward from the engine block.
  4. Remove the O-ring seals from the oil level indicator tube.

    5. Discard the O-rings.

Installation Procedure
  1. Lubricate 2 new O-ring seals with clean engine oil.
  2. Install the new O-ring seals around the oil level indicator tube grooves.

    3. Object Number: 159185 Size: SH
  3. Install the oil level indicator tube (4) into the engine block.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the bolt (2) securing the following to the cylinder head:
    5. • The oil level indicator tube (4)
    • The coolant outlet pipe (3)
    • The engine front lift bracket (1)

    Tighten
    Tighten the oil level indicator tube bolt to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
