  1. Lubricate the NEW oil filter adapter O-ring with clean engine oil.
  2. Install the NEW O-ring on the oil filter adapter.

  3. Object Number: 804907  Size: SH
  4. Install the oil filter adapter.
  5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  6. Install the female screw located inside the oil filter adapter.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the female screw to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  8. Lubricate the NEW oil filter adapter plug O-ring with clean engine oil.
  9. Install the O-ring onto the oil filter adapter plug.
  10. Install the oil filter adapter plug.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter adapter plug to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  12. Install the oil filter adapter bolts.
  13. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter adapter bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  14. Install a NEW oil filter to the oil filter cap.
  15. Install the oil filter cap.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the oil filter cap to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
