For 1990-2009 cars only
- Apply a 2 mm (0.08 in) bead of silicone sealing compound, GM P/N 1052942 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the oil pan mating surface.
- Position the oil pan to the engine block.
- Apply thread adhesive GM P/N 12345382 (Canadian P/N 10953489) to the oil pan bolts.
- Install the oil pan bolts.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.
Tighten
Tighten the oil pan bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
