Engine Block Assemble without KA3 and K05


    Object Number: 797544 Size: SH
  1. Install the O-ring onto the coolant jacket support plug.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the coolant jacket support plug.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant jacket support plug to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).


    Object Number: 797541 Size: SH
  3. Apply thread sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) to the threads of the coolant jacket plugs.
  4. Install the coolant jacket plugs.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant jacket plugs to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

Engine Block Assemble with KA3


    Object Number: 797549 Size: SH
  1. Install the O-ring onto the block heater.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the block heater.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the block heater to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

  3. Apply thread sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) to the threads of the coolant jacket plugs.
  4. Install the coolant jacket plugs.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the coolant jacket plugs to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

Engine Block Assemble with K05


    Object Number: 797548 Size: SH
  1. Install the O-ring onto the block heater.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the block heater.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the block heater to 60 N·m (44 lb ft).

  3. Apply thread sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480) to the threads of the coolant jacket plugs.
  4. Install the coolant jacket plugs.

    5. Tighten
