Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2003 🢒 CTS - RHD 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 2.6L and 3.2L 🢒 Mass Airflow Sensor with Intake Air Temperature Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 785826 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor (2).

    2. Object Number: 785797 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the air intake duct hose from MAF/IAT sensor.

    3. Object Number: 818886 Size: SH
  3. Remove the 2 screws securing the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner assembly.

    4. Notice: 

       • Handle the MAF sensor carefully.
       • Do not drop the MAF sensor in order to prevent damage to the MAF sensor.
       • Do not damage the screen located on the air inlet end of the MAF.
       • Do not touch the sensing elements.
       • Do not allow solvents and lubricants to come in contact with the sensing elements.
       • Use a small amount of a soap based solution in order to aid in the installation.

  4. Discard the MAF sensor seal.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 818886 Size: SH
  1. Install a NAW MAF sensor seal.
  2. Insert the MAF/IAT sensor into the air cleaner assembly with the connector terminal orientated upward.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the 2 screws securing the MAF/IAT sensor to the air cleaner assembly.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the MAF/IAT sensor screws to 2.25 N·m (20 lb in).

  4. Connect the air intake duct hose to MAF/IAT sensor.

    5. Object Number: 785826 Size: SH
  5. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the MAF/IAT sensor (2).
