Removal Procedure

Notice: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  2. Object Number: 785880  Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the backup lamp switch electrical connector (2) from the backup lamp switch (1).

  4. Object Number: 801366  Size: SH
  5. Remove the backup lamp switch assembly.

Installation Procedure

Notice: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.

    Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 801366  Size: SH
  1. Install the backup lamp switch.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the switch to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  3. Connect the backup lamp switch electrical connector (2) to the backup lamp switch (1).
  4. Lower the vehicle.
