Removal Procedure

  1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  2. Remove the power steering pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement .

  3. Object Number: 785731  Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering pump.

  5. Object Number: 794623  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.

  7. Object Number: 785728  Size: SH
  8. Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts (1,2, and 3).
  9. Remove the power steering pump.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 785728  Size: SH
  1. Install the power steering pump.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts and tighten in sequence (1, 2 and 3).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 35 N·m (26 lb ft).

    Important: Clean the material from the power steering pressure hose and install a new seal

  5. Connect the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the hose to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  7. Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
  8. Install the power steering pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement .
  9. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  10. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
