Makes 🢒 Cadillac 🢒 2003 🢒 CTS - RHD 🢒 Steering 🢒 Power Steering System 🢒 Power Steering Cooler Pipe/Hose Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 798947 Size: SH
  1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
  2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls-2.6L and 3.2L.
  3. Disconnect the retaining clip from the power steering return hose at the power steering pressure hose.

    4. Object Number: 803176 Size: SH
  4. Remove the retaining nut for the power steering return hose at the air conditioning compressor.

    5. Object Number: 806362 Size: SH
  5. Disconnect the power steering cooler line from the power steering cooler.

    6. Object Number: 740698 Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the power steering cooler pipe/hose from the power steering reservoir.
  7. Remove the power steering cooler pipe/hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the vehicle.

    2. Object Number: 740698 Size: SH
  2. Connect the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the power steering reservoir.

    3. Object Number: 806362 Size: SH
  3. Connect the power steering cooler pipe/hose to the power steering cooler.

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 803176 Size: SH
  4. Install the retaining nut for the power steering cooler pipe/hose at the air conditioning compressor.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the nut to 8 N·m (71 lb in).

  5. Connect the retaining clip to the power steering cooler pipe/hose at the power steering pressure hose.
  6. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls-2.6L and 3.2L.
  7. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  8. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
