🢒 Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Replacement
Removal Procedure
Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
Disconnect the power steering return hose from the power steering reservoir.
Disconnect the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering reservoir.
Disconnect the brake vacuum hose from the power steering reservoir.
Disconnect the wiring harness (2) from the power steering reservoir (1).
Remove the power steering reservoir mounting bolts (1 and 3).
Remove the power steering reservoir (2).
Installation Procedure
Install the power steering reservoir.
Notice:
Refer to
Fastener Notice
in the Preface section.
Install the power steering reservoir mounting bolts (1 and 3).
Tighten
•
Tighten the bolts (1) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
•
Tighten the bolt (3) to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
Connect the wiring harness (2) to the power steering reservoir (1).
Connect the brake vacuum hose to the power steering reservoir.
Connect the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering reservoir.
Connect the power steering return hose to the power steering reservoir.
Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
Bleed the power steering system. Refer to
